About Monica Smith

Monica Smith was raised in Northern California and like so many of the families she now helps, was lucky enough to grow up traveling to Tahoe for family vacations.  After attending university on the East Coast, where she majored in Hospitality & Resort Management, and enjoying a career in hospitality sales and management, Monica came back to Northern California and was finally able to make the move to Lake Tahoe full-time in January of 2011 during a huge, smile-inducing winter.  Monica has had the joy of living in Tahoe ever since and along with her husband, Matt, is now raising her family in the Highlands of Tahoe City.

Monica takes pride in handling her clients’ greatest assets, and their time, with care.   Her hospitality background allows her to bring warmth into the business setting of Real Estate with concierge-style service.  Her sales experience and love of real estate investing allow her to navigate the sale or purchase of your slice of Tahoe paradise with efficiency and professionalism. She believes in the Tahoe market and personally owns two Single Family Residences that run as successful, self-managed Short Term Rentals as well as a duplex with full time Tahoe residents housed long term.  Through personal experience purchasing and managing her own small portfolio of short and long term rentals here at the lake, she has the know-how to navigate her clients through the home-search process to the negotiating table and beyond. 

In 2016 Monica joined forces with her associates Mark Moore, Kimberly Boyle and Brendan Boyle to create The Moore Team.  The team came together because of their shared values, integrity and ethics and they have enjoyed a successful partnership built on trust, teamwork and genuine care for their clients and their properties.
